Melbourne is an exciting and bustling city in Australia. It’s full of sights and sounds with which a big city like Melbourne can offer. But, for those visitors staying at a Melbourne hotel , and who have already seen what the city of Melbourne has to offer, they need to consider a Melbourne day tour. These tours are designed to take tourists to the Victorian coastline on the Great Ocean Road, or to Mornington Peninsula. All tours are geared to delight tourist with the sights and sounds unique to the coastline of the Southern Ocean.

Taking the Great Ocean Road, tourist will find the most spectacular sights along the trip; the mighty 12 Apostles, the London Bridge, and Bells Beach. Tourists will marvel at the waves crashing onto Bells Beach, which can be up to 6 meters high in certain conditions. The 12 Apostles change colors at sunset and walk through the rain forest of the Otways and sing nursery rhymes at the London Bridge, which has fallen down.

Mornington Peninsula is truly a beautiful place where the rolling hills are covered with olive groves, vineyards and landscapes that are reminiscent of the Mediterranean. The wines produced in Mornington have won several awards. The lavender farms along the Great Ocean Road, will be one of the most exquisite sights on the Melbourne day tour. Tourists are allowed to pick the lavender flowers that freely grow along the roadside.

When it’s time to head back to Melbourne, tourists will once again be refreshed, renewed and find that they need to do some more exploring of Melbourne’s night life .

Finding a good, affordable way to ship your motorcycle overseas can be a daunting task, but if you use the suggestions given in this post, your motorcycle shipping can be as breezy as your ride.

To maintain a seamless process, it’s critical that a diligent and experienced facilitator be used. To know that you’ve found a reliable overseas motorcycle shipping company, they will help you get your bike ready for overseas, take care of ground transportation to a US port, take care of all necessary payments and paperwork with the overseas freight forwarder, keep you in the loop on all activity, and help you understand the process of getting the bike through customs by obtaining a broker at the destination country. In addition, they should take care of properly crating the bike if you plan to use air travel.

Then you need to pick how you want to transport your motorcycle overseas; ocean freight is the easiest and most cost effective way, but the downside is it will take 3 to 4 weeks in transit time. Shipping by plane only takes 1 to 2 days, but will cost you about $1,000 more.

If you choose shipping your motorcycle by ocean freight, marine insurance for partial and total loss can be obtained for bikes less than 12 years old. For bikes 12 year and above, you can only purchase a FPA policy, which is Free of Particular Average coverage. This allows you to only be covered for total loss and it comes with either a $250 or $500 deductible.

The Minneapolis and St Paul urban region is a twin city situation that offers double entertainment, shopping, dining and cultural attractions. And while Minneapolis is the more famous of the two, together they actually create an incredible urban environment. The culture of Minneapolis is strong and thriving and it is certainly affected by its nearest and dearest neighbor. However, some of the great establishments that exist in Minneapolis are the city’s alone and they are some of the favorite attractions for many of the guests in the Minneapolis boutique hotels .

Some of the great cultural establishments in Minneapolis include the renowned Guthrie Theatre, the Walker Art Center and the Minnesota Opera . All of these organizations represent the best in quality and artistic excellence and demonstrate the city’s overall commitment to artistic expression. The art center is known for its incredible sculpture gardens and is also one of the premier art museums in the world. The city’s premiere opera company has an international reputation and presents some of the greatest works from the most famous composers. In addition the contemporary repertoire demonstrates its commitment to the ongoing development of new works. The company’s season extends from September to April of every year.

When you think of Grand Central Station in New York City most people think of a meeting spot for travelers coming in, out and through town, or just for flash mobs, but few people really think of all the other things that it is beyond just a train station. There is a reason it was named the Grand Central Station. The place is huge. It is large enough that there is a guided tour for it and there is no wonder. There are secrets hidden in these corridors that most people will never find.

High above the station itself sits the offices of John W. Campbell, a tycoon from the ’30s. It was a place for him to get away from the hustle and bustle of life underneath him and get down to real work. He didn’t just use it as an office though, for the most part he moved into it. Working by day up there and entertaining socialites by night. He was a smooth talker and a hard worker which explains how he got as much as he did. Looking around you would be tempted to say that this is nicer than any of the luxury hotels New York City offers now. Now there is a bar up there that claims to have some of the best cocktails in all of New York , one that they back up with the price tag for each one.

Underneath the tracks is a world of it’s own with a slew of attractions and places to explore. There are shops and restaurants galore with everything from clothing stores to flowers and souvenirs. If you were looking for a good place to find the perfect thing to bring home to those who could not join you, this is the place to find it. If you have a little more time on your hands explore the areas that aren’t stores a little further. There is always the Whisper Room. In Vanderbilt Hall, art exhibits are often shown. New ones coming in all the time and old ones being taken someplace else.

One of the things that makes all of this possible is the amazing architecture. There are even small little details that help the millions of people move through this terminal every day such as the sizes of the tiles which correlate to the average length of hands, legs and arms. Supposedly this helps prevent collisions and blockages.

Gatorland in Orlando, Florida might not be like Disney World or Sea World, because it’s so much better. Gatorland is surprisingly fun, amusing, thrilling and educational. Located at 14501 S. Orange Blossom Trail, this 70-acre park is home to thousands of alligators in their natural habitat, plus, it’s not just alligators, there’s other wildlife as well such as crocodiles, a bird sanctuary, a petting zoo, alligator breeding pens, nurseries and rearing ponds. If you have children, they’ll love the mini water park, you’ll love the affordable ticket price and just how convenient Gatorland is to most four star hotels in Orlando .

Gatorland is not like a zoo where there are caged animals, here, you’ll walk over a wooden walkway that is above massive gatherings of alligators, basically, no matter where you walk, you’ll see an alligator as you stroll through a winding cypress swamp. You’ll be able to buy food to feed the alligators, or grab a bite to eat yourself at the on-site restaurant ‘Pearl’s Smokehouse’, with a menu featuring smoked Alligator and deep-fried gator nuggets.

Most Orlando tourist have a tendency to think that Gatorland is a cheesy tourist trap, but when they get there, they are surprised at just how beautiful the park is, and wished they had more film or battery life in their cameras, but they can find those items at the Gatorland Gift Shop. When tourist leave the premises, you’ll hear them often say they came here as a kind of a joke, but ended up having a blast.

The park was founded by the late Owen Godwin, back in 1949 and is still privately owned by his family. Gatorland provides entertainment, exhibits and affordable priced family-fun packed into one of the most pristine area of Orlando. It’s a great place to learn and have an adventure for the whole family. Gatorland is a ‘must-do’, while visiting Orlando. Plus, coming in the fall 2010, Gatorland will be soaring to new heights with the world’s first zip-line to race above the giant alligators – talk about thrilling!

If you plan to come to Kauai, Hawaii during the summer, don’t pass up Eastside Restaurant , located in Kapaa. Eastside will serve you one of the best meals you’ll ever eat, you’ll even wish that Eastside was back on the mainland, because your taste-buds will be begging you to go back and eat another fabulous meal there. This restaurants cuisine will blow you away with their wonderfully ambitious food, uniquely prepared with fine, quality, and imaginative ingredients. Every item on the plate is cooked to perfection. The professional staffs service is excellent and they are eager to serve. The atmosphere is casual, as is the decor, and the view is that of local folks going about their daily business, but if this restaurant was located on the beach, the prices wouldn’t be so affordable.

It’s recommended to try everything on the menu, from the creamy risotto, crisp-tender green beans and perfectly roasted tomatoes to the Hawaiian salted ribeye, the basil scented ono, the ahi mignon, the ahi poke, the fish cakes, the papaya bread pudding, the shrimp and scallop egg rolls, and to the marscapone mango tart, all of which are excellent. Literally, there’s no item on the menu that isn’t absolutely delightful. If you come with others, you’ll have to share, even though you won’t want to, but you just have to, because you want them to experience what you’re experiencing, the best food you’ve ever had, ever.

Eastside features fine island cuisine, live entrainment and is located in the heart of Kapaa town. Begin with cocktails made with only fresh fruit, dinner and live music. Once you’ve experienced your first meal at Eastside, you’ll find out why patrons say it’s the best Kauai restaurant ever and why some, instead of ordering dessert, order another entree’! Really! It’s that good. You don’t need to worry about wanting to go to Eastside the next night, because there are several five star Kapaa hotels ready to give you great accommodations that night.

The days of the drive-in movie is over, but in Manhattan, you can enjoy outdoor ‘walk-in’ movies. It’s time to pack up a blanket and some snacks for a night at the movies under the stars at ‘The HBO Film Festival in Bryant Park’ , which has become a summer tradition and one that has inspired other outdoor movie shows all over Manhattan. If you’re a visitor and are not able to gather up a picnic basket, you can head over to ‘wichcraft’ , who are ready to please the al fresco movie diners. They’ll provide a picnic for the summer film festival nights; all you need to do is call ‘wichcraft’ or go online to place an advance order, pick-up your order at their kiosk located conveniently at Bryant Park, then sit back and relax has you watch a classic film and eat one of the best picnic meals you’ve ever had.

Beginning July 5, 2010, HBO presents ‘The French Connection’, on The Lawn, which opens at 5pm for blankets and picnicking. The film begins at sunset, usually around 8pm and 9pm. If you haven’t seen this classic film yet, Gene Hackman won an Oscar for his portrayal of Popeye Doyle, an obnoxious New York City narcotics cop who is obsessed with stopping an international drug ring. A majority of the action was filmed in New York City, including the best car and subway chase of all time.

July 12 – is ‘My Man Godfrey’, a socialite, Carole Lombard, hires a bum, William Powell, to be her butler, but Powell is not quite what he seems to be, he ends up teaching her frenetic household some very valuable life lessons. This is a wonderful mix of screwball comedy and a commentary on the Depression-era.

July 19 – is ‘The China Syndrome’, an ambitious TV reporter, Jane Fonda, and her radical cameraman, Michael Douglas, work to expose the cover-up of an accident at a nuclear plant, managed by Jack Lemmon. This film was prophetically released just two weeks before the real-life disaster at Three Mile Island.

With all the previous seriousness, HBO will present ‘Monty Python and the Holy Grail’ on July 26, 2010. This film was a huge hit that introduced to the entire world, the Python troupe’s insanely funny characters, including King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, the fabulously taunting Frenchmen, the Knights who say Ni, and one very nasty rabbit.

If you can’t be in Manhattan in July, don’t fret, you can still book any of the beautiful hotels Manhattan, USA , which some are right next to Bryant Park in August, and get a chance to see ‘Rosemary’s Baby’, ‘The Goodbye Girl’, ’12 Angry Men’ and ‘Bonnie and Clyde’; all playing at Bryant Park at The Lawn, picnics beginning at 5pm and the movies at sunset.

People who come to Phoenix in the summer time from other place don’t really get the full scope of the heat until they walk outside of the airport. It hits you pretty good at first. Oh, boy, what is there to do when it is so hot outside. If you are in leisure time here then you may want to get up a little earlier in the day to get that out door activity in. There are some fun ways to stay cool in Phoenix in the summer time. There may not be an ocean beach in or near Phoenix but there are some great lakes and rivers to get out on and enjoy the sun. Check out the Salt River Tubing . That is where your going to find the locals. All you need is a cheap cooler filled with beverages and snacks and the tubing company has the rest. It is an all day event and lots of fun.

Golfing is a number one reason that people come to Phoenix. The down side is that you have to get your rounds in early in the morning before it gets to hot. The up side is that most of the courses cost less during these warm months. I have also seen golfers out after work as the sun is starting to set for a round. There are hundreds of courses in the area of Phoenix, Scottsdale and other surrounding cities. There are some nice public courses like the Arizona Biltmore Golf & Country Club which also happens to be one of the earliest courses created in the area. Find a five star hotel. Phoenix is known for them, and they will be able to direct you to the best golf courses in town.

The hotels in town are also known for their hot days out by the pool with fun water ride for the kids. Some of them have mini sand beaches flowing into the pool. Some are full on water parks. They have all the amenities and lots of great chiefs over seeing your meals. One could never get by in a hot Phoenix summer with out a frozen fruity beverage.

One of the top things to see while touring in London is the famous Big Ben clock. Located in Westminster, this great clock tower is visited by many people. Visitors have to be willing to wait for a tour and my want to make arrangements ahead of time. When the day finally comes, they will have to hike up 334 limestone steps to get to the top. There is no elevator so this is the only way to experience the tower. Most people just have to appreciate the tower from the ground or boat. The Tower was the last design by Augustus Pugin before he finally went mad and died. He worked hard to pull together a fantastic Gothic Revival style. It holds the worlds largest four faced clock that chimes position in the world. The only clock tower that is bigger is the Allen Bradley Clock Tower in Milwaukee Wisconsin. The Allen Bradley Tower doesn’t chime, however.

Some of the other sights to see in the neighbor hood of Big Ben is the Westminster Abby which is also Gothic in style. This is were the Coronations of Kings and other English and British monarchs were held dating back to 1066. It is also the Burial site and memorials for members of the long generations of the royal family and other aristocrats. There is also the Poets Corner which is where famous writers are buried such as, Geoffrey Chaucer, Charles Dickens, T.S. Eliot, Thomas Gray and many others. It has an amazing library and is a must see.

Also in the Westminster area attached to the Big Ben Tower Clock is the Parliament building which is a fascinating place. It is open to everyone, local and foreign. Visitors are able to attend debates on current issues and watch hearings in the committee. They are welcome to tour the building and they even offer an online virtual tour of the building. That seems like a silly thing to do if you sitting in your hotel. London is a much grander experience in person.

It doesn’t matter that there are people who have been here for tens of thousands of years, because Australia will still resonate as a young place in terms of contemporary culture. Who can say why for sure, there probably are some colonialist remnants of ideas that won’t go away, and the distance between the continent and other countries is still a bit too far to travel for a lot of would-be visitors. However, as the years go by, it reveals itself as a major contender in world culture, and the world gets smaller still, so that the distance is less of a problem than it once was.

It still takes some careful planning to visit, but every visit is absolutely worth it, and most travelers leave wishing they’d had just one more day, or one more week, or one more month. When fall comes around, though, five days is just enough time to catch all there is to see and hear at the Sound Summit . It’s impossible to catch everything, but after five days, it’s all over, and we’ll all have to wait one more year for the next incarnation.

There are national and international acts and individuals playing here, and the atmosphere is absolutely electric with experiment and innovation. Here is where the youthfulness of Australia really comes in handy, because it can be an easy excuse to push things further, to play a little too loud, or a little too fast, or to make things weird. New Weird Australia is, in fact, one of the arms of the festival, where the strangest indie works get their chance to really shine. It’s all part of the excellent This is Not Art Festival, which includes visual art and theater as well as music under its large, strange umbrella. Anyone who might be lamenting the lack of avant-garde art in their home town would do well to book one of the New Southwales hotels and spend some time with the new avant-garde. It’s refreshing for the soul, mind, and body.
